This page is not like your standard _About_ page for a website. Typical _About_ pages explain the purpose of the website you're on, the history and function of the site, business, technology, or person that is the reason for the site's existence, etc.
This about page is much broader and more abstract in scope and purpose. The markdown files that serve as the pages of this website (seen in the menu to the left) are just markdown files in an Obsidian vault called "**sparksnotes**". The name simply comes from the fact that my last name is Sparks and the website [Sparknotes](https://www.sparknotes.com/), a site that offers summaries of books (like Cliffnotes), was something I used to get out of reading Shakespeare in my high school AP English class.
Also, I was able to snag the domain on [Cloudflare](https://www.cloudflare.com/) for like *7 bucks*.
I've always loved to learn, and I've always been the kind of person that becomes heavily invested--occasionally obsessive--with things that cross a threshold of excitement for me to gain staying power in my life. Whether it be college football, metal music, the guitar, drums, or vocals, programming, neuroscience and psychology, or any of the other passions I've had that likely will remain throughout my life.
The trouble with having so many interests of such variety is that it can become difficult to keep track of all the notes, resources, projects, tasks, and more as you learn new things, read new books, start and progress on projects, collect additional resources and citations, etc. It can all become overwhelming rather quickly. This struggle is actually what got me back into programming after studying computer science at LSU over a decade ago, before dropping out and later finishing school with a behavioral neuroscience degree, made me hate development (traditional, structured learning tends to have this effect on me).
