"There is evidence that illegal immigrants adversely impact the wages and employment of some American workers."
- Sources needed
"One of the chief arguments for tolerating illegal immigration is that the low unemployment rate means there are not enough workers. However, **this ignores the dramatic long-term decline in labor force participation, particularly among working-age, less-educated, U.S.-burn men.**"

# Important interruption regarding legitimacy of the Center for Immigration Studies
I noticed something peculiar as early as halfway down the first page of this prepared document—vague descriptors that the academically-involved would (hopefully) attempt to avoid that seemed to used to create a specific underlying tone of crisis, hints of question begging with the way claims were constructed . . .
I asked,
>Wait, who the fuck wrote this?
The **Southern Poverty Law Center** describes the **Center for Immigration Studies** as "**the go-to think tank for the anti-immigration movement **. . ."
>CIS's much-touted tagling is "low immigration, pro-immigrant," but the organization has a decades-long history of circulating racist writers, while also associating with white nationalists."
### The CIS is labeled as a "hate group."
Their history also involves circulating pseudoscience that hypes up the criminality of immigrants. Their reports, according to SPLC, have been debunked by not only the **Immigration Policy Center**, but also the fucking **CATO Institute**.
