A higher dose (40mg) increased rating of anxiety. Interestingly, in non-marijuana smokers, the effects were modulated in opposite directions in terms of the high and in self-reported anxiety: the low-dose naltrexone enhanced the intoxicating effects of a low THC dose (2.5mg) and there were decreasing anxiety ratings following a higher dose of THC (10mg). There were no sex differences in these interactions, although among non-marijuana smokers, men were more sensitive to the effects of THC alone than women.
