# TDX Styling and HTML Sanitization # My Message in Slack > I've done a much deeper dive into the issue of styling and style sheets with our client portal, KB articles, service pages, etc. Unfortunately, they have a hard ban on `<style>` and `<link>` blocks. So I can't embed styling inside `<style>` blocks, nor can I import a stylesheet using `<link href="stylesheet.css"` . I was trying to stylize a large article I'm creating for the **Data Request** workflow process, but they've categorically disallowed me adding per-article `<style>` blocks. > It's all run through a server-side sanitization against their global "HTML Content Allowlist." > The **Styles** section inside TDAdmin that offers minimal styling of colors, fonts, etc. that is applied portal-wide is the closest thing we're given to a real stylesheet > Sanitization is apparently tied to ***where content is displayed.*** ## From Claude Here's the actual allowlist, straight from TDX's documentation — this applies to KB articles right now, with zero admin changes needed: **Sizing & layout** `width`, `height`, `max-width`, `max-height`, `min-width`, `min-height`, `margin` (+ `-top/-bottom/-left/-right`), `padding` (+ sides), `display`, `float`, `clear`, `overflow` / `overflow-x` / `overflow-y` / `overflow-wrap`, `vertical-align`, `white-space`, `word-break`, `word-wrap`, `word-spacing` **Borders & backgrounds** `border` (+ all the per-side/color/style/width variants), `border-radius`, `border-collapse`, `border-spacing`, `box-shadow`, `outline` (+ color/style/width), `background`, `background-color`, `background-image`, `background-position`, `background-size`, `background-repeat`, `background-attachment`, `background-clip`, `background-origin` **Typography** `color`, `font`, `font-family`, `font-size`, `font-style`, `font-weight`, `font-variant`, `font-stretch`, `text-align` (+ `-last`), `text-decoration`, `text-transform`, `text-indent`, `text-shadow`, `text-overflow`, `letter-spacing`, `line-height`, `line-break`, `direction`, `writing-mode`, `unicode-bidi`, `text-orientation` **Lists / tables / misc structural** `list-style` (+ `-image`, `-position`, `-type`), `table-layout`, `caption-side`, `empty-cells`, `columns`, `content`, `counter-increment`, `counter-reset`, `quotes` **Other** `cursor`, `opacity`, `visibility`, `clip`, `orphans`/`widows`, `page-break-before/after/inside` So: image sizing, rounded corners, drop shadows, borders, background colors/images, font styling, text color/alignment/spacing, table formatting — all fair game with plain inline `style="..."`.
