# Google Drive User-to-User Transfer

Sometimes a ticket will come in because an employee has left the school and one of their former coworkers now needs access to the data that they stored on the former-employee's Google Drive. **Google's admin features offer an easy way to do this:**
1. 2. Go to Apps → Google Workspace(s) → Drive and Docs
3. Scroll down and select "Transfer ownership"
4. Provide the SEU accounts that will send and receive the Google Drive data
5. Click "Transfer files"
6. This may take some time to complete. Confirm with the receiving user that they did, in fact, receive the Google Drive data

***NOTE***: sometimes whenever an account of a former employee is deactivated, their SEU email address will have changed to now include a long string ID that indicates its deactivation. However, they should still be searchable using their name.
